ICTA and RCIPS Investigating Fibre Network Damage in Prospect

 

 

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – 27 October 2016 – The Information & Communications Technology Authority (ICTA) and the RCIPS are investigating an act of extensive malicious damage on a piece of fibre network equipment in the Prospect area which resulted in service outage to about 300 television, internet and telephone subscribers for about 3 days.  The report was made to the ICTA on 25 October by one of its licensees.
